What Is
Beach Tennis?

From the brilliant minds of two Italians on vacation, beach tennis is a coastal mishmash of tennis, sand volleyball and badminton. Combining aspects from each sport, beach tennis is played on a sand court with either two or four players. For a full run-through of the rules and how to play click here.

How to Play
Beach Tennis
Your first step to becoming a Beach Baller!
- Objective: score more points than the other team.
- Scoring is like tennis, but without deuce. The points go as follows: 1 point = 15 , 2 points = 30 , 3 points = 40 , 4 points = game won.
- For a full match the victor must win 2 sets. The player must win 6 games to win a set. So all in all, a player must win 4 points to win a game, 6 games to win a set, and 2 sets to win a match.
- Players cannot touch the net. If a player does so they forfeit the point.
- The player who is serving is required to stay behind the baseline while serving.
- During play, players continue to hit the ball to the opposing court until one side is unable to return the shot. The point is lost if the ball either touches ground within your side of the court, you hit the ball into the net, or you hit the ball outside of your opponent’s court.
- The ball is not allowed to bounce and there is no setting the ball to your teammate as you would in volleyball.
